Rapid interactivity

Rapid interactivity

Rapid interactivity is a brand new phenomenon in e-Learning interactivity. Using rapid interactivity approach, the course creators can create highly interactive e-Learning content rapidly with less cost and time without the need of any programming knowledge. Interactive content reduces the learner drop-out levels.

Traditionally, creation of interactivity in e-Learning requires time and money because of the creative and technical effort involved in it. The knowledge of programming is must for creation of interactivity traditionally. But with rapid interactivity approach, the non-programmers can create interactivity without actually doing the programming or spending time in the creative effort of designing the interactivity.

So what exactly is rapid interactivity? With the rapid interactivity approach, the eLearning course creator gets a library of ready learning interactions and an easy to use programming-free interface to customize the interactions to the need. The library of interactions could include learning games, simulations, videos, brainteasers, puzzles, surveys, flow diagram, software simulations and many more. Once the course creator has a bag of interactions ready with him/her, it becomes easy to just choose one of them and readily use in the eLearning course without having to really think which interaction maps to the learning content and the learning goal. After choosing the interaction model from the library, the course creator simply has to go customize it without the need of any programming knowledge. Once customized, the interactivity is ready for use. That’s how simple it is with rapid interactivity!

Once the interactivity is ready, it can be used with any other authoring tool or course creations tool or even with Powerpoint(R).

But can the interactivity created using rapid interactivity be tracked using SCORM/ AICC standards? Yes, if the tool (rapid interactivity builder) you are using supports that. Not many rapid interactivity builders have this functionality. Tracking of interactivity is very valuable because that’s the only way for a course creator to know how the learners are learning through the interactivity which he/ she has created.
