Liam Dunne (footballer)

Liam Dunne (footballer)

Liam Dunne (born September 1 1971) is an Irish soccer player who currently plays for Crusaders in the Irish League.

An experienced, dynamic midfielder, he has played for Bohemians (2 spells), St. Johnstone F.C., Crusaders (2 spells), Dundalk, Portadown and Glenavon F.C. among others during his career.

He signed for Bohemians in 1990 and broke into the first team, making his league debut against Derry City on September 2 of that year. He was selected for Ireland in the World Youth Cup of 1991 and impressed sufficiently enough to be snapped up by St. Johnstone. He did well in his first season in Scotland but didnt fit into the plans of new manager John McClelland the next season so Eamonn Gregg swooped to bring him back to Bohs. He only had a short spell on his return to Bohs and after 38 league games with 2 goals, he moved to Belfast to link up with his Crusaders for his first spell at Seaview.
