15 August 1993 ) was an English writer. She worked most of her life as a missionary nurse inMorocco . Although at first she worked with her brother in the main foreign hospital, she later spent four years manning a village clinic in a more remote area.Early years
Patricia Mary St. John was born to Harry and Ella St. John. Her parents had been missionaries to South America, and Patricia was born just after they arrived back in England from their furlough. Her father, Harold St. John, later went back to South America by himself. Patricia was the third of five children.
One year they lived in Switzerland, and it is from her memories of that year that she wrote her second book, "Treasures of the Snow".
Mission Work
After finishing highschool she became a nurse during
World War II , and after the War ended was a house mother at her aunts boarding school for a couple years before she joined her brother,Farnham St. John inTangiers ,Morocco --where he was medical director of a Missions hospital.Works
