Lorenz Müller (b.
18 February 1868 inMainz , d.1 February 1953 inMunich ) was a German herpetologist.Professor Lorenz Müller became notable for his studies on the
Balearic Islands species of the GenusPodarcis (wall lizards) during the 1920s where he described several subspecies for the first time, including the now extinctRatas Island Lizard . Together with his colleague ProfessorRobert Mertens he made several studies about European amphibians and reptiles.Lorenz Müller died at 85 from a
bronchitis .Works
