Costanera Norte is a 43 km privatized expressway (autopista urbana) connecting northern Santiago Metropolitan Region from east to west, along the northern bank of the Mapocho River, using an electronic toll collection system. It was inaugurated on April 12, 2005. With the "Autopista Central", Central Expressway, Vespucio Norte Express highway and the Vespucio Sur Highway, make up the network of urban highways in Santiago, Chile. totaling over 210 kilometers in length.
