International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers

The International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (or IABM) represents manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to the broadcasting and electronic media industries. The Association's aim is to identify and promote the interests of its members, and to provide benefits and services which enhance their business performance.

The global broadcast and media technology industry is going through a period of rapid technological change. The way media content is captured, edited, stored and made available to consumers is changing dramatically. New ways of receiving your favourite television content is changing with the advancement of IPTV, internet TV and mobile TV. Suppliers of broadcast and media technology products and services face a series of challenges. Many of the major players in the sector have joined the [http://www.theiabm.org IABM] (international association of broadcasting manufacturers) to enable them to be part of an active community that is addressing the issues. As the IABM is a not-for-profit, independent body representing suppliers who themselves represent >80% of the global value of the broadcast sector, the IABM is an influential voice lobbying on behalf of its members. Broadcast and media technology suppliers benefit from a range of advisory services, market intelligence, technical services as well as event participation support. This group demonstrates how the industry is pulling together to tackle global industry issues and secure its future.
