Praia , Santiago,Cape Verde , and immigrated to the United States. His early life was spent inTaunton, Massachusetts , where he attended Elizabeth Pole, Parker Middle, andBristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School . After moving toBrockton, Massachusetts , he attended Southeastern Vocational. He later transferred toBrockton High School , where he was part of the cross-country team. Bridgewater State College , with a major in history, in 2001. In 2008, Dos Anjos received his Associates degree in Liberal Arts Studies fromMassasoit Community College .
