In Australian politics, the Special Minister of State (SMOS) is responsible for defining parliamentary entitlements, which includes responsibilities with Ministerial and Parliamentary Services, Australian Electoral Commission, Defence Housing Authority, Film Australia, the Film Finance Corporation and Comcover. The current Special Minister of State is John Faulkner.
