Eric Frampton (born february 6, 1984 in San Jose, California) is a safety for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League.

College career

Known as a big hitter with a motor that never stops, Frampton received the Washington State Ironman Award in 2004. Frampton was a two-year starter and was awarded All-Pac 10 honors as a senior. As a senior he was the Courgar's leading tackler (100) and played both free and strong safety. Frampton recorded 11 tackles against Southern California and 16 against Oregon.

Professional career

He was timed at 4.61 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the 2007 NFL Scouting Combine, but ran a 4.51 40 at the Pro Day combine. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Frampton was cut by the Raiders on September 1, 2007. The Detroit Lions claimed Frampton off waivers on September 2, 2007. On October 22, 2007 the Vikings claimed him off waivers.
