Duncan Pow is a Scottish actor best known in his role in Sky One's Dream Team, as Liam Mackay the captain of Harchester United F.C. and as Linden Cullen in the BBC1 medical drama, Holby City.

Early life
Duncan was born in Scotland and moved to the small medieval city of Wells in Somerset when he was 12. He attended Wells Blue School and got 3 A*s, As, a B, and 2 Cs in his GCSEs[1] Then he studied Maths, English, Geology and General Studies at A level and got 3 Bs and a C[2] After leaving school he studied Maths at Edinburgh University and Multimedia Technology at Leeds Metropolitan University where he got a first class honours degree. Acting life
After Dream Team finished, Pow spent six months auditioning for parts before being cast in BBC One's Holby City in 2007. Pow joined the medical drama in January 2008 as consultant Linden Cullen and remained until the character was killed off in October 2010, in the finale of the show's twelfth series.
Pow appeared as Gary Sneddon in the episode of Doctors that aired on BBC1 on 30th November 2010.
Pow's other jobs included: ticket collector at Wookey Hole Caves, yoghurt packing, plastics factory, barman at The Somerset Wagon in Chilcompton, kitchen hand, forklift truck operator, DJ, editor, cameraman, pan cleaner, meat factory processor, journalist, script editor for financial news programmes, and a website designer.[citation needed]
Private life
Duncan is a keen supporter of children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent having had first hand experience of the work the charity does. His cousin, Westley Hendry, lost his battle with cancer in 2006 at the age of just 16. The family were supported by CLIC Sargent and Duncan has become an active supporter of the cause. He recently won a special edition of the BBC quiz show the Weakest Link and raised £8,600 for the charity. Duncan also ran the 2008 Great South Run in Portsmouth for CLIC Sargent. Duncan also completed the Flora London Marathon for CLIC Sargent in 2009.[citation needed] Duncan Pow is now a Patron to the charity the Leon Heart Fund, The Leon Heart Fund was created as means of supporting children and families who attend the Paediatric Cardiology Department University Hospital of Wales and in memory of Leon Montanari.He has also appeared on ITV show This Morning throughout the year, in aid of the cancer charity.
