- Bruce A. Manning
Bruce A. Manning is Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at
San Francisco State University . He is an internationally recognized expert inEnvironmental chemistry . He was selected byNSF to acquire anX-ray diffractometer and has been a pioneer in applying this instrument to environmental and materials chemical research. He earned aB.S. inEnvironmental Science at theUniversity of Massachusetts and aPh.D. inEnvironmental chemistry from theUniversity of California, Davis . Prior to joining SFSU he was a postdocoral scientist at theUSDA U.S. Salinity Laboratory in Riverside CA. Professor Manning's research interests includesurface analysis ,mineralogy ,remediation , inorganicchemical analysis , andComputational chemistry . He has published 15 journal articles and two book chapters. His research has been funded byNSF ,USDA , andDuPont . He was aResearch Corporation Cottrell College Science Award Fellow from 2001-2005.External links
