Begoulaki (Greek: Μπεγουλάκι) is a neighbourhood in the city of
Patras . The origin of the name came from Bel Ulak, a Turkish milker who lived in the area during the Ottoman period. Today, the used of the naem is Myloi (Μύλοι), others kept the toponym Begoulaki. Myloi was an area and before the Ottoman rule, the Byzantine chronographer G Frantzia brought the area named Mylous and made a military base byConstantine Palaeologus , where Patras was later besieged by the despot ofMystras . In the siege and married in Begoulaki, the first wife. Later shortly after the Greek Revolution, the area had a lot ofmill s in which it receives its name.
