Lendita Zeqiraj

Lendita Zeqiraj is a Kosovar Albanian painter and movie director, born in 1972 in Pristina, Yugoslavia – now Kosovo. She finished her postgraduate studies in painting at Faculty of Arts in the University of Priština in 1997 and has also studied film aesthetics in Université Paris 8 [http://www.art-sellers.com/room24/room24.htm] . She, together with her sister Blerta Zeqiri wrote and directed the feature film Exit, which won two prizes at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in 2005: “Best Cinematography Feature Film” at the New York event [http://www.nyfilmvideo.com/2005/nynov2005/nyawardsnov2005.html] and the same prize at the Los Angeles event [http://www.nyfilmvideo.com/2005/lasep2005/laawardssep2005.htm] . Lendita Zeqiraj currently lives and works in Paris, France.
