The Free Presbyterian Church (Australia) is a Presbyterian denomination which currently consists of four congregations in fellowship with the Free Presbyterian Church of Ulster, a denomination associated with Ian Paisley.

History

The first congregation of the FPC was formed in South Australia in 1978, growing out of a group called the "Eyre Bible Fellowship". [http://www.lockfpc.org/our_church_history.php] There are now also congregations in Western Australia and Tasmania. [http://www.freepres.org/churchlist.asp?loc=world]

Doctrine

The FPC describes itself as fundamentalist, evangelical, and separatist. The King James Version of the Bible is used, and hymns are sung as well as Psalms.
