Edward C. "Ed" Noonan (born Edward Clifford Davis
September 25 ,1948 inPrescott, Arizona ) was the chairman of theAmerican Independent Party . He was replaced as party chairman by Jim King, in an authorized and legal convention held by a quorom of the California State Central Committee of the American Independent Party in June 2008. At the same meeting, national affiliation of the party was reaffirmed to be with the Constitution Party (as has been since 1992) and also achieved was the confirmation of the nomination of Presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin. Noonan attendedSanta Barbara City College , served four years in the U.S. Army, then attendedSacramento City College ,American River College andSacramento State College . Mr. Noonan is married to Patricia Noonan, and has a son, Jack and another son, E. Justin Noonan who ran forCalifornia State Treasurer in 2006. He is a member ofThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . Noonan owns "A Family Internet" computer shop inLinda, California . He ran forSecretary of State of California in 2002, receiving 85,791 votes (1.2%) and in 2004, receiving 18,461 votes (1.13%) [http://rrccmain.co.la.ca.us/charts/0022/0022SS.htm] , and forGovernor of California in 2006, receiving 61,901 votes (0.7%).
