Kansas Lottery

The Kansas Lottery is run by the government of Kansas. It is a charter member of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It offers such games as Powerball, Super Kansas Cash, Hot Lotto, keno, and numerous scratch tickets.

The most recent major jackpot won in the Sunflower State was in the July 4, 2007 drawing of Hot Lotto. The ticket is worth $12.9 million (annuitized) or about $7.4 million cash, and was purchased in southeast Kansas.

All Kansas Lottery games have a minimum age of 18 for those who wish to play.

The Kansas Lottery even has an automobile race named for it, the Kansas Lottery Indy 300.

In September 2007, the Kansas Lottery began a MUSL-sponsored scratch game, Midwest Millions, which was a $10 ticket. The Iowa Lottery was the other participant in the first multi-state instant game since the Powerball scratch ticket was retired.

With Kansas adding video lottery, Cashola, the nation's only multi-state jackpot video slots system, becomes a possibility.
