Forest View High School

Forest View High School was a public secondary school in southern Arlington Heights, Illinois, operational from 1963 until its closure due to declining enrollment in 1986. Forest View's mascot was "Ferdie the Falcon,"and school colors were silver, black and gold.

The facility currently hosts a number of administrative and alternative-education facilities for Township High School District 214.

A yearbook from the school was used as a prop in an episode of the television series The Bionic Woman. An alumnus was working on the set and they needed a high school yearbook at the last moment; this individual had one nearby.

Famous graduates include Jerry Jenkins (class of 1967), co-author of the best-seller Left Behind series of books; Donald Foster (class of 1968), a Vassar professor, best well-known for his forensic literary analysis; Christopher Hill (class of 1969), a noted theoretical physicist and co-author of "Symmetry and the Beautiful Universe," (with Nobel Laureate Leon Lederman); Kevin R. Young, (class of 1975), an author/historian who has worked as a consultant on several historical films and has been featured on several History Channel documentaries on the Alamo and Texas history. Brad Quast (class of 1986) who played football at the University of Iowa and in the NFL for several teams including the Eagles.
