As a sophomore, Wright appeared in 31 games, averaging 4.3 points and 1.6 assists per game. With
Gerry McNamara playing limited minutes against Texas A&M in the first round of the NCAA tournament, Wright scored 12 points and handed out two assists.Wright became Syracuse's starting point guard in his junior year.
