John Reccius (October 29 1859 – September 1 1930) was an American Major League Baseball player from Louisville, Kentucky who pitched and played in center field during his two seasons for the Louisville Eclipse of the American Association.

John had two brothers who were also involved heavily in baseball. [ [http://www.baseball-reference.com/r/reccijo01.shtml Baseball-Reference player page] ] Phil Reccius was a Major League player for 8 seasons, much of which was with Lousville, and Bill Reccius was the founder and manager for the mid-1870s version of the Louisville Eclipse, though he did not manage or play when the organization while the teams was in the majors.
