While studying art and architectural history on scholarship at Stanford University, Stefan worked as a private painting teacher. After moving to San Francisco in 1980 he began Baumann Fine Art, an endeavor that showcased his passion for landscape painting.
Bio
Baumann's unique vision and his appreciation for all things within Nature, came to fruition with The Grand View, a dynamic public television series that promotes environmental awareness and outdoor painting.
Baumann has been featured in People magazine and his work included in the collections of the Rockefellers, Annenburgs, and former President Reagan. He also creates original works for Leanin' Tree Publications. While residing in San Francisco, Stefan Baumann while living with lover Robert Martin, rented the downstairs in-law apartment to tenants. Later in August of 2007 (and after a change of men), Baumann sold his house in San Francisco for $1,375,000 [http://real-estate.nextag.com/propID_15110643/85-Cerritos-Ave/San-Francisco/California/homes-html] . He never paid his tenants their deposit, and currently avoids their calls for collection.
