LEArning EDvantage

LEArning EDvantage is the official website of most Singapore Schools.

In line with syllabus changes affecting Primary Mathematics, Secondary Mathematics, Sciences and Humanities, LEAD is launching a new set of interactive courseware.

In December 2006, Learning EDvantage Pte Ltd (LEAD) formalized a strategic partnership with HeuLab through the purchase of an investment stake and the adoption of joint Sales and Distribution Agreement.

This tie-up is important for both companies, enabling them to offer enhanced products to schools both locally and overseas. HeuLab is best known locally for its innovative Tablet PC applications and its position as a leader in the use of Microsoft technology for Education, while LEAD is known for its rich multimedia education content.

With the collaboration, LEAD is set to make available its content for use in the HeuLab range of products. At the same time, these HeuLab products will be made available on the LEAD portal for LEAD customers.

Furthermore, joint education projects, including FutureSchools Project by Infocomm Development Authority, as well as overseas projects, are in the works for both companies.

Learning EDvantage Pte Ltd (LEAD) recently also attained Infocomm Club training partner status in collaboration with Ngee Ann Polytechnic. This partnership allows for the development of the Digital 3D Design programme for schools and is overseen by Ngee Ann's lecturers.

The formation of Infocomm Clubs is in line with the Ministry of Education's Leadership, Enrichment, Achievement, Participation and Service (LEAPS) framework. Initiated by IDA, supported by MOE, and in collaboration with key industry partners, Infocomm Clubs provide opportunities for school students to acquire infocomm skills and cultivate entrepreneurial capabilities. The Digital 3D design course teaches students about video game development, character design and animation. It equips students with domain knowledge and technical skills, as well as creating an environment for experiential learning, all of which are vital for success in future vocational endeavours.

Features

LEArning EDvantage is capable of having a blogging feature, a forum feature, an email feature, test and assign modules and more. It also has some educational games as well as an assignment panel.
