Regular Season

Post Season

The Senators finally made it into postseason after many years of being the laughing stock of the American League. They would get back to the world series the next year, however they never again make it while playing in Washington. In this series, the home team won every game. The next time this would happen would not come until the 1987 World Series, played between the same franchise (playing for over a quarter-century as the Minnesota Twins) and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Miscellaneous

*Manager/Player Bucky Harris was the highest paid player on the team, earning $9,000.
