WLTQ (730 AM) was a radio station licensed to Charleston, South Carolina, USA. [ cite web|url=http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/fmq?call=WLTQ |title=WLTQ Facility Record |work=United States Federal Communications Commission, audio division ] The station went silent in 2008.

History

WPAL was Charleston's first radio station targeting African-Americans. William Saunders bought the station in 1985 after being a part owner since 1971, and he added WPAL-FM in 1994. In 1998, he sold WPAL-AM to Clear Channel [http://www.blackenterprise.com/ArchiveOpen.asp?Source=ArchiveTab/2003/05/0503-26.htm] , which changed its letters to WSCC and its format to news/talk Later, Clear Channel added the 94.3 frequency, which became WSCC-FM, where the talk format continues. The station was afterwards a left-leaning news/talk station that aired liberal talk shows from Air America Radio ("Morning Sedition"), ("The Majority Report") and Jones Radio ("The Stephanie Miller Show", "The Ed Schultz Show") using the branding "Progressive 730". In 2005, it began carrying the Music of Your Life standards feed, which was aired until the Spanish "Viva 730" format began in March 2008. It was announced that the station was to be sold by Clear Channel Communications. At a certain point in 2008, the station dropped all programing and went silent.
