May 10 ,1969 ) is an accomplished maletable tennis player fromCroatia .Primorac was born in
Zadar and started playing table tennis in the club STK "Bagat" in his home town. As a junior he won seven medals in European championships. In1985 he moved to theZagreb club "Vjesnik". At the 1987 World Championship in New Delhi he won the silver medal together withIlija Lupulesku , and repeated the success by winning the silver at the1988 Summer Olympics inSeoul . Together with Lupulesku he also won the 1990 European Championship inGothenburg .Primorac competed for Croatia at the
1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and won the 9th place in singles and doubles. He repeated the same at the1996 Summer Olympics , and at the2004 Summer Olympics he was eliminated in the third round.In the 2002 European Championship held in Zagreb, he reached the semi-finals, only to lose to
Kalinikos Kreanga of Greece 4-2. He again reached the semi-finals, but this time lost to his former team-mateJean-Michel Saive . In the 2007 European Championship inBelgrade he won the silver medal in the team event with Croatia, but lost in the first round in the singles.Primorac plans to retire after the 2008 Olympic Games, which is his sixth Olympiad. He was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the singles by
Jörgen Persson .He currently uses specially-designed equipment made by Butterfly Table Tennis. He uses the Primorac Carbon blade, while using Sriver-EL rubber on both sides of his racket.
