Joseph Threapleton

Joseph William Threapleton was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club against Sussex CCC at Bramall Lane in 1881. A wicket keeper, he took 2 catches and completed 1 stumping and scored an unbeaten 8 in his only innings. Yorkshire won the match by 9 wickets. He was born on July 20, 1857 in Crimbles, Pudsey and died on July 30, 1918 in Low Town in the same Yorkshire town.

He was engaged by the Bradford Club in the 1880s and from 1890 until 1894 he was engaged by Harrogate C.C.. He kept regularly for Yorkshire Second Team. He was a boot maker by trade.
