Post-canine megadontia

Post-canine megadontia

Post-canine megadontia is a great enlargement of the molars and premolars which is found in early vegetarian hominid ancestors such as Paranthropus aetheopicus. Considered to be evidence for vegetarianism, as the robust size would result from the eating of tough, hard shelled food such as seeds and nuts.
