Pencak Silat Pukulan Bongkot is a
Silat style originated by Kepala Aliran Harry de Thomis, and based mainly on Serak, Cimande and Derosemo, with the adding of some elements of Panca Bela. It is mainly represented in the Netherlands, Europe and Australia. This is a new style, recently developed by Kepala Aliran Harry de Thomis. He created this style from Serak (Sera), Cimande, Kuntao, Derosomo and Panca Bela. There are schools in Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. Pencak Silat Bonkot aliran has been studied, tested and screened by the Indonesian authorities. Through the I.P.S.I (Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia) the style has been recognised and registered. The Indonesian research team itself has handed it it's independent status. The technical advisors for this aliran are Bapak Januarno (secretary-general of technique) of the International Pencak Silat Federation and Bapak Junaidi, former I.P.S.I. vice-chair. Together, they accredited the style with the name Bonkot. The Bonkot aliran contains 35% Kesenian (cultural/technical) and 65% Olah Raga (selfdefense and match) techniques.
