Gwent Mountaineering Club

The Gwent Mountaineering Club, based in southeast Wales, is a Welsh mountaineering club established in 1976. Catering for a wide range of abilities and activities in mountaineering, it has a membership of over one hundred individuals throughout southeast Wales (Gwent) and beyond. Members interests include those typical of most mountaineering clubs: walking, backpacking, rock and ice climbing, alpinism, mountain biking, mountain marathon walking and fell running.

The GMC is affiliated to the British Mountaineering Council.
