George Render

George Render

George William Armitage Render was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1919. A right handed batsman, he scored 5 at number 5 in his only innings against Derbyshire CCC at Bradford Park Avenue. His right arm medium fast bowling was not called upon. Yorkshire won by 10 wickets.

He also played for Heavy Woollen District in 1911, Yorkshire Cricket Council in 1912 and Yorkshire Second XI from 1912 to 1919 in local representative games.

He was born on January 5, 1887 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire and died, just three years after his only match, on on September 17, 1922 in Hanging Heaton, Yorkshire aged 35.
