Raphael Israeli

Raphael Israeli, an Israeli academic, is Professor of Islamic, Middle Eastern and Chinese history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. [ [http://www.acpr.org.il/people/risraeli.html Raphael Israeli ] ] Israeli was born in Fez, Morocco and emigrated to Israel at the age of 14. Israeli took his degree in Arabic and History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, he became a fellow of the Center of Chinese Studies at the University of California at Berkeley, where he earned an M.A. degree on East Asian History and a Ph Degree in Chinese and Islamic History. Israeli is fluent in Hebrew, Arabic, English, and Chinese.
