Alan Reid (born 21 October 1980 in Paisley) is a Scottish footballer, who is currently without a club after being released by Scottish Premier League side St. Mirren at the end of his contract in the summer of 2008.

Reid began his career with Hibernian, for whom he played in the Scottish League Cup Final in 2004. He joined St. Mirren in 2005, with whom he won the First Division in 2006.

He is currently a free agent seeking a new club. In a bid to find regular football, Alan played in a trial match for Morton against Ayr on July 12 2008, and has since made two substitute appearances as a trialist in league games against Clyde and Airdrie.

Reid started his career as a striker, although since moving to St. Mirren was transformed into a full back, where he excelled.
