Aasen Bomb

Aasen Bomb

An Aasen Bomb was an Italian early World War I bomb fashioned from a hand grenade and dropped on the intended target from an Italian aircraft. The Aasen bomb was named for Nils Waltersen Aasen a Norwegian arms inventor who developed a wide range of early prototypes which would later lead to the modern hand grenade for the Norwegian army.
