Bhabatosh Banerjee

Bhabatosh Banerjee, Ph.D., is Professor, Department of Commerce and Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Social Welfare and Business Management, University of Calcutta. He has over 35 years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level. Earlier (1984-85), he served with distinction as Director of Research, Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, and as a Visiting Professor (1995-97), School of Accountancy, Rutgers University, New Brunswick(USA).

Professor Banerjee has attended/presided over many international conferences in various countries and has been an invited speaker in many seminars. He has been President, Indian Accounting Association and Vice President, International Association for Accounting Education and Reasearch. He is the editor of "Indian Accounting Review", and is the author of several books on finance and accounting.
