Andras Csaki is one of the most talented Hungaryian guitarist, who was born in 1981 in Budapest. He started to play the guitar at the age of 11 as a pupil of László Kozma. Since 1996 he had been a student of Sandor Szilvagyi in Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music, and after graduation he carried on his studies with Ede Roth and Balazs Arnoth in the College of Music, in Győr. In 2002 he got admittance to the Guitar faculty of Ferenc Liszt University of Music, where he is still being instructed by Joseph Eotvos. He graduated in 2007, he received a diploma with honour as a master of music in performance guitar and teaching. From September he is a full-time DLA student at the Academy of Music in Budapest. In 2008 he received Annie Fischer scholarship for performing arts in music.

Professors, mastercourses

Since his juvenile he has been attending both inland and foreign master courses. Among others he has participated in the courses of Leo Brower, Remi Boucher, Abel Carlevaro, Costas Cotsiolis, Aniello Desiderio, Alirio Diaz, Zoran Dukic, Tilman Hoppstock, Wolfgang Lendle, Carlo Marchione, Pablo Marquez, Thomas Müller-Pehring, Martin Myslivecek, Pavel Steidl, Barna Kovacs, Peter Katona (Katona Twins) and Tamás Vásáry.

Abroad concerts

Since 1996 he has played an active role in domestic and foreign concert life. He has had successful recitals in Austria, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Croatia, in the Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, in the United States and Venezuela. Besides, he has also had the opportunity to perform concertinos with several symphony orchestras. Numerous domestic and external radio and TV channels have recorded him. He has been a soloist of the Hungarian Radio Bartók since 2002.

Since 1997 he has been successfully participating in international competitions.

Chamber music

Besides his soloist ambitions he attaches a great importance to chamber music. He has been a member of Excanto Ensemble since 1998, which consort has a great repertoire of renaissance and baroque works. Their first CD was published in 2004.

Teaching, guitarcourses

Besides giving concerts he started teaching in 2005. He held a master course in France and the United States. Since September 2005 he has been giving guitar lessons at Béla Bartók Conservatory of Music in Budapest.
