Dhulipala Seetharama Sastry

Dhulipala Seetharama Sastry (Telugu: ధూళిపాళ సీతారామశాస్త్రి) (24 September 1921 – 13 April 2007), popularly known as Dhulipala is a veteran Telugu film and Stage Actor of Andhra Pradesh, India.

He was noted for playing mythological roles, particularly the role of Shakuni. He began his acting career at young age of 13. He had worked in about 300 films. He shot into fame with Bheeshma and Sri Krishna Pandaveeyam acting along with N. T. Rama Rao.

Personal life

Inspired by Swami Jayendra Saraswathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, he took sanyas in 2001 and established Maruthi Ashram at Guntur City. He died on April 13, 2007. [1] He has two sons. He was a staunch devotee of Hanuman.
