Manson has also identified
Armin Meiwes , a German cannibal who achieved international notoriety for eating and killing a voluntary victim he had found via the Internet, as inspirational in the titling of his album, Eat Me, Drink Me. Manson explained in an article what this story meant to him: "Although I can't relate to the relationship those two had, I found the story very compelling in a romantic way. I think a lot of people wouldn’t look at it as romantic, but it was to them in some sick way, and it is to me in some sick way, too."The same German cannibal also inspired the German Neue Duetche Harte band Rammstein's controversial song "Mein Teil" (My Part, slang for My Penis or My Privates)
