His style varies greatly as he believed to explore psychological aspects of his work. As a result, his painting have a very mordernist yet unique style that is only repeated within the group he formed and ran, The White Stag. He primarily used oil and gouache as a medium but frequently worked with monotype and watercolour and ceramics for tile designs.
Autobiography
Basil Rakoczi also wrote an autobiography that details his highly unusual and varied life. There are currently no planned publications of this autobiography though a biography is rumoured to being worked upon.
Exhibitions and Auctions
In the Summer of 2005, his paintings were displayed at the
Irish Museum of Modern Art along with other White Stag works very successfully. Further exhibitions are in planning at locations currently unknown.As Basil Rakoczi sold his paintings as he worked it is not unknown for his work to appear in auctions from all around the world (most recently Canada). This has kept a steady interest in his work that is only set to rise with the amount of exhibitions that are also taking place.
