Piedmont andLombardy (northernItaly ). It starts from the PiedmontesePrealps in the area betweenLake Orta andLake Maggiore , and then crosses theprovince of Novara . NearCerano , it splits into two different streams: the first joins theTicino River , while the second flows through theLomellina (province of Pavia ) until it merges with thePo River .The Terdoppio is 86 km long, with an average discharge of 3,7 m³/s and a drainage basin of c. 515 km².
