Archis Tiku (born 6 May, 1977 in Bombay, India) is a founding member and bass guitarist of British indie rock band Maxïmo Park.

Born to Kashmiri Pandit parents, Archis moved to the UK with his family when he was one year old. He grew up in Wigan and attended Bolton School. In 1995 he moved to Newcastle upon Tyne to study medicine at Newcastle University [ [http://www.shehjar.kashmirgroup.com/Admin/magazineresourcepage.do?pageUrl=/files/resources/zip/080224060754_Spotlight_ArchisTiku2/index.html&MAG_ID=9/ Archis Tiku and family interview] ] . Whilst in halls, Archis formed a band with three other friends, one of whom was Duncan Lloyd. Finding themselves with too many guitarists and no bass guitarist, Archis stepped into the breach.

Not content with completing his studies and working as a local doctor, Archis continued to appear with Duncan in various pub bands over the next few years, which ended in a fortuitous meeting with Lukas Wooller, current keyboard player of Maxïmo Park.Archis Tiku was the original lead singer of Maxïmo Park, and when he decided to turn his concentration to playing bass, the band were on the verge of collapse until they met Paul Smith, who now serves as the lead singer.
