Suzanne Kay (Sue) Boyce (born
15 March 1951 in Brisbane,Queensland ), Australian politician, businesswoman and disability advocate, is a member of theAustralian Senate forQueensland . She was selected by the Liberal Party in Queensland and endorsed by theParliament of Queensland to replaceSanto Santoro in theAustralian Senate [ [http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200704/s1897297.htm Sue Boyce chosen to replace Santoro] , "ABC News" (Australia),14 April 2007 .] , and is Queensland's first female Liberal senator since 1984. She was sworn in to the Senate on8 May 2007 .Senator Boyce was educated at
Monash University from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and has a Masters of Business from theQueensland University of Technology .Boyce is the chair of Everhard Industries, a plumbing supplies company, although she stood down from the position after her nomination to the Senate.
