Kaitangata

*Kaitangata is a small town near the coast of South Otago in New Zealand.

*In the Māori language, Kaitangata means human food - "kai" being food and "tangata" being human, or people. Kaitangata has sometimes been used to mean cannibal.

*In Māori tradition, Kaitangata is a son of Rehua who fell to Earth, his blood staining the sky red.
