Nat Lauzon

Nat Lauzon

Nat Lauzon (born Natalie Lauzon November 25, 1975) is a Canadian radio host and writer. She is currently the midday (10-1) host at CJFM Mix 96 in Montreal.

Background

She was born and raised in South Porcupine, Ontario - a small mining community near Timmins. She attended Roland Michener Secondary School.

Nat began her broadcasting career at the age of 13 at her hometown radio station, CKGB. She attended Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto where she received a BAA in Radio and Television Arts.

Professional career

At age 19, she worked her way through school at Mix 99.9 in Toronto as an overnight host and later, co-hosting the afternoon drive show "Kat and the Nat" alongside Katfish Morgan. During this time, she was also seen on CFTO-TV as host and narrator for the science and technology vignette "Tomorrow Today". When Morgan left for Montreal, Buzz Reynolds stepped in and the show was billed, "Buzz and the Nat", until Lauzon left in '99 to host the evening show (N@ @ Nite) at Mix 96 in Montreal.

A few months later, Lauzon was promoted to mornings and reunited with her old co-host, Katfish Morgan, now using the name Andre Maisonneuve. "Andre and Nat" won a Canadian Association of Broadcasters Gold Medal Award for comedy and gained national media attention when they drove a zamboni from Montreal to Toronto to promote the show.

After 2 years the team was broken up, with Maisonneuve moved to the drive shift and Lauzon to middays, where she has been since 2003.

Other

She is the current writer and fill-in host for the nationally syndicated countdown show "The Canadian Top 20".

Nat has contributed written pieces to national magazines and is a freelance voice artist and writer, having been heard in the Cineflix, Inc documentary "90 Days in Hollywood" on Canada's Life Network.

She can also be heard on the new reality sports show The Adrenaline Project and is the voice of CJAD 800's TV ad campaign and the national voice for the Just For Laughs Comedy Tour.

There is a currently a 300 + member community on Facebook, consisting of listeners and friends, urging Nat to become a member. She finally joined in April 2007.

Nat appeared on the first Canadian episode of Trading Spaces, along with colleagues Lisa Player and Kristina Reusch and friend Kim Johnston-Main. The show first aired in September 2005.
