Carl Brewer (politician)

Carl Brewer is the mayor of Wichita, Kansas. He is the city's first African American mayor since 1970. A. Price Woodard served as the first African American mayor of Wichita from April 14, 1970, to April 13, 1971, and died January 1972. He is Wichita's second African American mayor but the first to be elected.

Brewer represented Wichita's District 1 from 2001 to 2007.
