Mindelo Bay at Avenida Marginal, it features residential homes with colonial and modern architecture. It also features shops, restaurants and taverns. A hill overlooks to the northwest. The historicPalácio do Governador ? is at the eastern end of the street, and it overlooks a hill.The avenue formerly featured a bank known as the Banco Ultramarina in which it closed when Cape Verde became an independent country in
July 5 ,1975 . The avenue was paved in the mid to late 20th century and it always featured lampposts but no stoplights.
