The Great Waltz " on Broadway, she took thestage name Joan Whitney.She studied voice under Alex Kramer, who later collaborated with her on a number of songs including "Candy" and "
Far Away Places ." He also married her.She and Kramer had a son, who went by the name Doren Voeth.
She died of
