Sonja McLaughlan

Sonja McLaughlan presents the sports news on BBC News and BBC World News throughout the week. She has been with BBC News since 1998, when she rejoined the BBC after a six month break from working. She was also a reporter for BBC Radio Five Live and reported on Rugby Union for "Grandstand".

Sonja joined the BBC in 1988 as a trainee and became a news producer on Radio Sussex. She moved to London in 1993, and became a producer in BBC Radio's sports department. In 1995, she became the BBC's Rugby Union producer.
