Adnan Nawaz is a sports presenter, currently working for the
BBC . He has presented the sport on BBC News, the corporation's rolling news channel in theUK , and onBBC World News since 2001 [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/biographies/biogs/bbc_world/adnannawaz.shtml BBC - Press Office - Adnan Nawaz ] ] . He joined BBC News in 2000, initially behind the scenes, but soon switched to a presenting role. He also owns the world's largest collection of Subbuteo teamsFact|date=March 2008, including the rare and very sought after Hamilton Academicals team from 1972.Fact|date=March 2008He began work at the BBC in 1994, as a broadcast assistant in the
Latin America n section of theBBC World Service . He then moved to BBC Radio, where he was a producer and reporter specialising in sport.Adnan is well travelled, having lived in the Philippines, Italy, England, the United States, France and Chile. He speaks five languages.
