- Ray of Light Theatre
Ray of Light Theatre is a regional theatre company in San Francisco, California. The company produces a season of musical theatre from September to August each year. It's inaugural season was in 2001 in which the company produced You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. Since that time Ray of Light Theatre has produced six seasons of shows.
Started by the founding artistic director, Shane Ray, and founding board co-chair, Adrienne Abrams, the company's mission is "to produce quality theatre in San Francisco at a price that allows our audiences to reflect the rich diversity of the City."
Ray of Light Theatre most recently completed the San Francisco premiere of Disney's High School Musical On Stage. The show, which is an onstage adaptation of the popular made for TV movie, ran from September 20th to October 7 at SF School of the Arts Mainstage. It was produced in collaboration with San Francisco School of the Arts.
In the fall of 2008, Ray of Light Theatre will produce a five week run of the live stage version of The Rocky Horror Show at the Victoria Theatre in San Francisco.
