Truly

Truly

Truly was a band formed in the wake of the grunge era, featuring, former Soundgarden bassist Hiro Yamamoto, one-time Screaming Trees drummer Mark Pickerel and singer Robert Roth. They released one EP: "Heart and Lungs" 1991, one four track CD "Leslie's Coughing Up Blood" 1993 for Sub Pop. They recorded the full-length studio album: "Fast Stories... from Kid Coma" from 1992-94. Truly then signed a contract with Capitol Records that released "Fast Stories... from Kid Coma" in 1995. The second album "Feeling You Up" was released in 1997 for Thick Records. The final album "Twilight Curtains" in 2000, a mixture of new and unreleased songs and demos, was released in Europe only by the independent label Cargo/Headhunter U.K.

They were notable for their dense, bass-heavy sound, despite only being a three-piece, recalling Black Sabbath and Yamamoto's previous band. Despite a fair amount of critical acclaim, they had limited commercial success.
