Adrienne Kennaway

Adrienne Kennaway (born 1945, New Zealand) is a children's illustrator and writer. As a child she grew up in Kenya, a background that informed her early work. Kennaway's successful career began with illustrating animal folk-tales by Mwenye Hadithi, portraying various African wildlife with vivid watercolour pictures - these included "Crafty Chameleon," winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal (1987).
